the 2010 Land Rover LR4 offers better on-road performance than ever, while continuing to shine off the beaten path.
The LR4 features a new 5.0-liter V8 engine shared with Jaguar and other Land Rover models and paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. It makes 375 horsepower and 375 pound-feet of torque - figures that are a big improvement over the previous 4.4-liter V8s, which weren't powerful enough to move the LR3's heavy frame. Thanks to new direct-injection technology, the added power doesn't take a toll on fuel economy, which remains unchanged. According to the EPA, the LR4 is expected to net 12 mpg in the city and 17 on the highway.
